Happy New Year! I have some pretty awesome new year goals, and I'm excited to get 2012 started. NYE was nothing exciting. Mathieu and I have never really made a big night of it, except for that one year I was in labor! :) We stayed in and planned on watching the Money Pit, which I think is hilarious... but the Netflix'd DVD was damaged. BOO! Just a quiet night in, and I loved every minute.
My handsome little man turned 3 years old on New Years Day! I can't believe how fast three years can pass, and how much can happen in that time. He's pretty awesome, and he gets funnier and more grown up everyday.
We decided to let him open his gifts before we did dinner and cake. He was so excited when he saw people walking in with gifts, Mat and I let him have at it once everyone was there. Mat and I gave him an acoustic guitar.
My little Johnny Cash! He's been watching Mathieu play music since he was born. Watching him pick up a Patrick-sized guitar was amazing. He moved and played just like his Daddy. He even put the pick in his mouth when he "tuned up" haha!
His favorite part of cupcakes = the cream cheese frosting!
He had a party blower war with his uncle Nate. (my brother)
Patrick's Uncle Nate, his fiance who Patrick calls Uncle Amanda building with robot blocks, and my brother in laws wife who Patrick calls Uncle Skye. He refuses to call anyone Auntie, and I don't know why. But it's okay because they all think it's adorable.
Roxy is a total lovie. She always has to be on someones lap. Patrick and Mathieu were posing for a photo and she hopped up, too.
Yesterday Mat and I were still home from work, but Patrick went to school and we had a nice date-afternoon. I got my workout in the gym first thing after dropping Patrick off. The gym was PACKED. New years resolutions, I'm guessing. And I realized I only have 2 months left to prepare for my first 5k. Yikes! Time to kick it into high gear!
